David Vaarwerk owner and principal of MDS has over fourteen years of various experience;

• Five years of hands-on field experience in the Yilgarn Block of Western Australia, the Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales (Australia) and Queensland (Australia) carrying out mineral exploration and project management.

• Three years of research for resource industry publishers and information providers.

• Five years of securities trading/investing, predominately in the resources sector.

• One year of tenement management and reporting, data management and manipulation.

• Can operate various GIS and mining industry software packages including Manifold GIS, Map Publisher, Mapinfo, Datashed, Surpac and Vulcan. Experience with various versions of the Linux/GNU computer operating systems and Microsoft computer operating systems. Experience with PostgreSQL database software.

Formal qualifications;

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology (Second Class Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney.     

Including a field project on the Dam Prospect porphyry copper-gold deposit in the Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales (Australia). See The Australian Geoscience Thesis Database (search for Vaarwerk).

• Certificate IV in Microcomputer Technology.
